Dr. Divya Balakrishnan
Dr. Divya Balakrishnan was raised in the rural town of Nipawin, Saskatchewan. It was there that her love of school, sports and a strong sense of community flourished. Upon completing high school, she moved to Saskatoon to further her studies at the University of Saskatchewan. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiology in the College of Arts and Science. She then gained admittance to the College of Dentistry at the U of S and convocated in 2013.
Dr. Bala practices general dentistry, with a particular enthusiasm for cosmetic and family dentistry. She is an avid learner and enjoys attending continuing education courses regularly to keep up with the ever-evolving field of dentistry.
When she's not working, Dr. Bala is known to be a social butterfly who loves to be surrounded by family and friends. She plays volleyball year-round and is a fair-weather golfer. She shares her home with her husband, Kent, and her two kitties, Luna and Raja.
Dr. Arjunn Sachdev
Dr. Arjunn Sachdev was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Regina in 2009. He then moved to Saskatoon and graduated from the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 2013. Following this, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency through the Saskatchewan Health Authority gaining additional skills in oral surgery and trauma management.
Dr. Sachdev practices all aspects of general dentistry, but has a particular interest in oral surgery, implant and cosmetic dentistry. He is a self-proclaimed “dental nerd” and attends multiple continuing education courses a year and is a co-founder and co-director of a Seattle Study Club affiliate in Saskatoon.
In his free time Arjunn is a kettlebell enthusiast, reading, spending time with family and friends, and watching movies. He and his wife are happy to call Saskatoon their home.
Dr. Cherise Spies
Dr. Cherise Spies, a native of Abbey, Saskatchewan, graduated from the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 2008. She loves Starbucks, sleep, and her collection of Hillberg and Berk sparkle ball earrings. She shares her home with her two dogs and her husband, Nick, whom she met via an honest-to-goodness matchmaker.
